Este documento busca enmarcar el crecimiento de las ciudades mas representativas de América, la ciudad de nueva york como ciudad compacta y densa, el documento abarcara la historia de la ciudad, para poder llegar a la pregunta el por que la ciudad se consolido así, que tipo de planeacion tuvo desde las ultimas décadas y que tipo de tratamientos se presentaron para controlar el crecimiento de la ciudad y su sobrepoblación.
Así mismo es clave mostrar la importancia de cómo la inmigración ah sido uno de los principales factores para el crecimiento de la ciudad, y que tipos de problemáticas tiene nueva york.
Por otro lado se enfocara el crecimiento de la ciudad en cuanto el transporte como la densidad y la consolidación de la ciudad se ve reflejado en el gran crecimiento de uso de el vehiculo, la importancia del metro en la ciudad y que posibles planes tendrá la ciudad a futuro con todo esto.
De igual manera la ciudad, muestra el nacimiento de muchos suburbios lo cual se convierte en un problema no solo social si no que empiezan afectar y consolidar la ciudad, generando ciudades pequeñas dentro de la misma ciudad.
También será relevante comparar New York con bogota como capital de un país latinoamericano, y en comparación explicar su crecimiento como ciudad naciente de una colonia española, que características posee urbanísticamente y que relación directa en cuanto a su formación y su día a día con NY. Y así mismo mostrar como el turismo hace parte de esta problemática no solo de la necesidad de densificar la ciudad para alojar a miles de visitantes diarios si no la cantidad de ciudadanos y personas que vienen a estas grandes capitales a buscar un medio de vida.
